That was April 17. Before the draft and OTA’s and minicamp. With those initial odds, the Raiders were 2.5-point favorites over the visiting Broncos on Monday Night Football. Now, nearly three months later, with both the Raiders and Broncos’ rosters pretty much how they will look heading into training camp, the latest odds have come out. And the Raiders are still 2.5-point favorites according to @WilliamHillUSThe biggest changes for both teams since then came through the draft. The Broncos picked up tight end Noah Fant in the first round and guard Dalton Risner and quarterback Drew Lock in the second. Then got great value in Dre’Mont Jones in the third. The Raiders had four picks in the first 40, picking up pass rusher Clelin Ferrell at 4th overall, running back Josh Jacobs and safety Johnathan Abram late in the first and cornerback Trayvon Mullen early in the second round. They had no third round pick.At this juncture there is no reason to believe either team came out better than the other. Fant was a top tight end in this draft, and someone the Raiders had their eye on. Risner is one of the top guards in the draft — also a player the Raiders could have used. And Lock was thought of by some to be a first round product who could challenge Joe Flacco for the starting QB job. For the Raiders, Ferrell instantly adds much needed pass rush. Jacobs steps in immediately as the team’s starting running back as does Abrams at safety. Mullen will be valuable depth at cornerback and compete for snaps. It could be the only thing that would change this line between now and the game is a major injury.Follow @LeviDamien Tyler Roemer, T, San Diego StateMeasurables6’6", 312 lbs5.21 40 yard dash18 bench reps30.5" vertical jump108" broad jump4.76 20-yard shuttle7.75 3-coneStats2018: Started 10 games at..." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesHorizontal - WhiteSilver And Black Pridean Oakland Raiders communityLog In or Sign UpLog InSign UpFanpostsFanshotsRaidersOddsAboutMastheadCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMoreAll 322 blogs on Horizontal - WhiteFanposts Fanshots Raiders StoriesScheduleRosterStatsYahoo Raiders NewsYahoo Raiders Team PageYahoo Raiders ReportYahoo Raiders Depth ChartYahoo Raiders TransactionsYahoo Raiders PhotosOdds About Masthead Community Guidelines StubHub ✕Raiders 2019 UDFA scouting report: Tyler Roemer is raw, but has long term starter potentialNew,10commentsPDTShareTweetShareShareRaiders 2019 UDFA scouting report: Tyler Roemer is raw, but has long term starter potentialJake Roth-USA TODAY SportsTyler Roemer, T, San Diego StateMeasurables6’6”, 312 lbs5.21 40 yard dash18 bench reps30.5” vertical jump108” broad jump4.76 20-yard shuttle7.75 3-coneStats2018: Started 10 games at left tackle2017: Started all 13 games at left tackle2016: RedshirtedAwards2018: Second-team All-Mountain West StrengthsRoemer is a gifted natural athlete with the movement skills necessary to play in the NFL, specifically the explosiveness necessary to execute cut blocks in the zone blocking scheme. Has excellent lateral movement skills Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , gliding smoothly, as opposed to chop stepping. Possesses both the foot speed to reach the second level, and explosiveness necessary for recovery when beaten. Has a fantastic motor that never stops, and is always looking for defenders to hit right up until the whistle. WeaknessesMaturity may be an issue, and declared for the NFL draft after his redshirt sophomore season after an indefinite suspension with two games left in 2018 led to him losing his spot on the Aztecs roster. He needs significant work in the weight room, as he has a solid punch, but has issues gaining full extension after engaging. Further, per NFL Analyst Lance Zierlein, Roemer has an, “Underdeveloped frame with no butt and thin legs”. VerdictRoemer is the type of raw, naturally athletic offensive lineman Tom Cable tends to love, and if he puts in the work in the weight room to improve his strength, it could go a long way towards success in the NFL. Roemer’s got the athleticism necessary to succeed in the NFL, but had issues at times getting push and moving defenders in the Mountain West, making NFL opponents even that much greater of a challenge. Some time on a professional workout routine and diet plan could transform Roemer in to a starting tackle. In 2017 he helped pave the way for Rashaad Penny to become a first round draft pick of the Seattle Seahawks, and here is a cutup of Penny against the Stanford in 2017 with Roemer (wearing number 74 at left tackle) helping clear the way. Fit With RaidersWith Kolton Miller and Trent Brown set to start at tackle, Roemer’s best bet for playing time early in his career may come at left guard. He’ll likely need to put in significant work in the weight room between now and training camp, but if he can do that he could be a serious competitor for that spot. Roemer is raw and athletic, but gifted enough that with added strength, he could become a starter on the offensive line for a decade.
