ATLANTA -- Jacob Turner is sticking in Miamis rotation for at least one more start. Discount Air Jordan 11 . Turner allowed two runs in his first start in six weeks and the Marlins knocked Mike Minor out of the game early in their 6-5 win over the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night. Turner (3-6) made his return to the rotation after eight relief appearances and performed just as manager Mike Redmond hoped. Turner gave up four hits in five innings. "That was great," Redmond said. "We talked before the game about him stepping up and getting another opportunity to go into the rotation and he did exactly that." A key for Turner was the first inning, when he loaded the bases but allowed only one run. He ended the inning when Evan Gattis hit into a double play. "Being able to get out of that with just one run was huge," Turner said. The Braves only other run off Turner came on Justin Uptons third-inning homer. Donovan Solano had a career-high four hits and also reached on a walk as Miami took its second straight win over Atlanta to open the four-game series. Christian Yelich had two hits and scored three runs. Steve Cishek pitched around Chris Johnsons leadoff single in the ninth to earn his 23rd save. Pinch-runner Jordan Schafer was caught stealing before Cishek struck out Andrelton Simmons and pinch-hitter Ryan Doumit. Minor (3-6) was rocked in his shortest start of the season, giving up six runs on 10 hits and two walks in three-plus innings. Minor said he felt strong but "way rustier tonight." "And thats not an excuse, either," Minor said. "I felt good." Minor said he threw "pretty good" in the bullpen before the game. "Then I got out there and I just wasnt throwing to the corners," he said. "It was one of those games I felt like I was trying to aim the ball a little bit." Miami led 6-2 before its bullpen gave up three runs in the eighth, including Jason Heywards two-run single. Heyward drove in three runs with two hits. The Braves began the night one game behind first-place Washington in the NL East. Turner made his first start since a loss at Texas on June 11. He struck out the side in the fourth as he earned his first win since June 5. "He gave us five innings," Redmond said. "We didnt want to push him too much considering hes been in the bullpen for a while." The Braves enjoyed a promising start off Turner. B.J. Upton led off the first with a double before Turner loaded the bases with two one-out walks. Heywards single to centre drove in Upton before Gattis hit into a double play to end the inning. Like Turner, Minor allowed only one run in the first inning after the Marlins loaded the bases with no outs. He gave up three runs in the third and was pulled after giving up three straight hits to open the fourth. The left-hander has allowed 10 or more hits seven times in five seasons, including five times this year. Giancarlo Stanton had a run-scoring double and Jeff Baker drove in a run with a single in the Marlins three-run third. Turner opened the fourth with a double off Minor and scored on Yelichs single. After Solanos double left runners on second and third, David Hale replaced Minor and gave up Marcel Ozunas run-scoring groundout for a 6-2 lead. Minors ERA rose to 5.32 as he allowed six runs for the second straight start. Following Uptons 18th homer with two outs in the third, the Braves didnt have another hit until Tommy La Stellas eight-inning single off Mike Dunn drove in Tyler Pastornicky, who walked as a pinch-hitter. Bryan Morris replaced Dunn and gave up Heywards two-run single, trimming Miamis lead to 6-5. Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman leaned over the rolled-up tarp to reach into the stands and catch Bakers foul popup in the ninth. NOTES: The Marlins lead the season series 6-5. ... Gattis was 0 for 4 in his second straight start since coming off the 15-day DL. ... Braves RHP Ervin Santana will make his third start of the year against Miami when he faces RHP Nathan Eovaldi Wednesday night. City has reached new heights under manager Manuel Pellegrini as they transition from big spending/immediate impact to perennial contender. Yaya Toures seeming discontent Tuesday may complicate that, as does the little issue of Financial Fair Play.ST. MORITZ, Switzerland -- Ted Ligety of the United States put together two nearly flawless runs in difficult conditions to win a World Cup giant slalom on Sunday, the last mens race before the Sochi Olympics. Ligety, a two-time world champion in the event, overcame poor visibility to finish a massive 1.51 seconds faster than Marcel Hirscher of Austria in the combined time. "Its so tough when you cant see anything, it makes it so much more tiring. Im glad I was able to make it to the finish line," said Ligety, who posted the fastest time in both runs. The convincing win boosted Ligetys Olympic hopes. "Its nice to get in another good race and I hope I can carry that confidence over the next two weeks," Ligety said. Hirscher jumped from third to second, while Alexis Pinturault of France fell from second to third after both heats to finish 1.69 seconds behind Ligety. "The second run was definitely very good, but the first run, to be one and a half seconds behind, was nothing for me," Hirscher said. As fog shrouded the middle section of the course, Ligety raced to his 21st career victory and his third in a giant slalom this season. He also has a victory in a super combined this year. Ligety won the first two giant slaloms of the season, with Hirscher getting the next two. Felix Neureuther of Germany, winner of the previous giant slalom race, skipped the event to rest a painful back before the Olympics. Hirscher still stayed atop the giant slalom standings and took the lead overall as Aksel Lund Svindal of Noorway fell in the second heat. Air Jordan 11 Cheap Online. Hirscher is now 58 points ahead of Svindal. The Austrian has a 95-point lead over Pinturault in giant slalom standings, while Ligety is five points behind the Frenchman. "It was a very difficult slope but I am pleased because I stayed on the podium," Pinturault said. Ligety explained his big margin of victory by taking a different line. "When its bumpy like this, I dont go so straight, I go a bit closer to the gates. A little mistake will cost you a lot on a course like this," Ligety said. Bode Miller of the United States hit a rut and crashed out about halfway into the first run. Miller won the giant slalom title at the 2003 World Championships, the last time men raced in St. Moritz. The 36-year-old American said he was ready for his fifth Olympics, despite Sundays mishap. "My skiing is generally pretty solid now," Miller said. "There were already big holes in some places when I went down and you cant see where they are and the coaches cant tell you where they are. The guys making it down were skiing very conservatively, trying not to crash and not to make mistakes. Ted is the only one really who skied normally. "I didnt want to be 2.5 seconds behind and so tried to ski normally. But I had big problems from the start," Miller said. Fog forced the cancellation of Saturdays downhill and threatened the giant slalom as well. The start of the second run was delayed by half an hour and there was a long break before the last 11 racers.
