y-maligned San Francisco 49ers. Dominating in all facets of the game Eric Weddle Jersey , the Rams won easily, 39-10. Looking back before the game, here were the five 49ers that I thought the Rams should keep an eye on. Unfortunately for these 49ers, most did not have much success against our beloved team.RB Matt BreidaBreida had a rough game. Down early and often, the 49ers didn’t even use him that much as he only recorded five carries for 15 yards while also losing a fumble that DL Aaron Donald ripped away.Breida did not record a catch or target as the 49ers got Raheem Mostert more involved.WR Marquise GoodwinAfter an explosive game against the Green Bay Packers, the Rams were able to limit Goodwin to two catches and 24 yards. Although targeted five times, the Rams were able to limit the speedy former Olympian.LB Reuben FosterFoster had tough game. Given the Rams scored 39 points and the fact that RB Todd Gurley had three total touchdowns Austin Blythe Jersey , there’s no way the former Alabama LB was happy with himself or the defense.TE George KittleThe 49ers’ leading pass catcher had a great game. Leading the game with 98 yards on five catches (also a touchdown), Kittle scored on an interesting play. Kittle definitely showed out against the Rams and you have to appreciate his hustle throughout the game.EDGE DeForest BucknerEDGE Buckner had a quieter than anticipated game. With only three tackles on the day, the Rams were able to move the ball and score at will. Buckner had one tackle for loss, but other than that, it was relatively quiet as his teammate Arik Armstead had the better game. Add a top-100 pick? Check. Down at #45, Kadar has us going with:Obviously for roster gap, it makes plenty of sense. I actually took McCoy at #31 in the 2019 SB Nation writers mock draft saying this:More than just the pick itself though, it’s a decent demonstration of why a trade down always made the most sense as long as the Rams could get the kind of compensation they ultimately did. Here, you get a player like McCoy you could have justified earlier while also adding a top-80 pick. Consider that in an early April mock Jamon Brown Jersey , Kadar had us taking Temple Owls QB Rock Ya-Sin; I thought that was a perfect example of why the Rams were in good position to trade back even that late in the draft preparation process. Ya-Sin didn’t go in last night’s first round, so it’s not as if the Rams are going to miss out on quality talent in this range. In Kadar’s mock, he has LSU Tigers CB Greedy Williams at #33, Ya-Sin at #36, Florida Gators OT Jawaan Taylor at #37, Oklahoma Sooners OT Cody Ford at #38, Alabama Crimson Tide LB Mack Wilson at #42 Rob Havenstein Jersey , and Kansas State Wildcats OT Dalton Risner at #44. It won’t take much for any of those prospects to slide back to where the Rams are at #45. And should they feel so compelled for any of them, they could easily spend some late Day 3 capital to jump back up. And that’s without noting all the other prospects who go in Kadar’s second round that could be consideration for the Rams!In the end, the Rams are sitting in good position heading into tonight’s proceedings with a chance to stack up some quality players as they begin to build out their 2019 draft class.
