Bradley made the journey once a year for his four seasons as the Jaguars' head coach, a job he got after four seasons as the Seahawks' defensive coordinator under Carroll.Carroll said the message Bradley relayed was making sure the distractions didn't become overwhelming."They had made it through the difficulties really and they had become so familiar," Carroll said. "It was making sure that everyone was focused and not distracted by the trip and the event of being in a foreign country and all that kind of stuff. Just so there was a process of normal focus going into game time, they were concerned about that always."Seattle will practice on Wednesday at home before packing up and heading to the airport for a roughly nine-hour flight that's scheduled to land in London at midday Thursday. The Seahawks are leaving a day earlier than their opponent, the Oakland Raiders, who plan to depart post-practice on Thursday from the Bay Area.Carroll compared the situation to a bowl game like he experienced during his time coaching at Southern California. After giving the franchise some of its best years, but falling short three times in the big game, it was time for the team to finally complete the ultimate task. Denver was the best team in the NFL, and looked like a potential beginning of a dynasty. It was finally all coming together.And in my house, John Elway was the Denver Broncos. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports it is a one-year deal worth up to $6 million.The move will reunite Thomas with his first NFL head coach as Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was in Denver when the Broncos selected Thomas in the first round of the 2010 draft. He’d go on to make five Pro Bowls and win a Super Bowl with Denver before being traded to Houston in the middle of last season.Thomas tore his Achilles on Christmas Eve, which ended his season and led to his release earlier this year. The Washington Redskins cornerback is donating $50,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs in Puerto Rico and wants to convince other athletes, celebrities, corporations and foundations to donate another $200,000. That’s a much smaller scale than the $37 million that Texans defensive end raised for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Houston, but Norman said the crisis in Puerto Rico shouldn’t be ignored just because it’s further away. ”That’s why I really took up arms and started to do it because they’re ignored so much it’s like it’s not a part of us, in a way,” Norman told The Associated Press on Thursday. ”I just feel like they’re a part of (the United States) and we need to go over there and give as much support and help as you would if they were right next door to you in your neighborhood. Khalil Hodge, ILBSchool: Buffalo | Conference: MAC Experience: Senior | Age: 21Height / Weight: 6-1 / 235 lbsProjected Draft Status: Round 3 - 5NFL Comparison: Mason FosterCollege Statistics Player OverviewKhalil Hodge has had tremendous production in his early career and many view him as a mid to late round gem who is being overlooked because of the level of competition in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). He had an astounding 262 tackles his senior season at St. Mary’s High School in Stockton, CA. As a sophomore at Buffalo, he had a team-high 123 tackles on the year to rank eighth in school history and second in UB’s FBS era for a single season and was named All-MAC Second Team. As a Junior, he set the school FBS-era record for tackles in a season with 154, led the Mid-American Conference ranking second in the nation in tackles, and was named All-MAC First Team. He again posted excellent numbers as a senior with 138 tackles (7.5 for loss).But there’s more to Khalil Hodge than his college production, and a look at his background shows what drives him to excel on the football field. Khalil grew up the older of two brothers. His younger brother Kadeem was considered the more gifted athlete and was on his way to becoming a track star. Khalil wasn’t as fast as Kadeem, but was extremely hard working and physical, and found a natural fit in football. It sounds like competition with Kadeem constantly reminded Khalil how hard he’d have to work to succeed as an athlete. There’s a very informative article here that offers a deeper look into his life. He doesn’t have the physical tools to be a 1st round pick, but he has the intelligence and work ethic to get better with practice and eventually earn a starting role. I’ve seen draft projections for him anywhere from the 2nd to 7th round, and it reminds me a bit of Quinn Blanding, who some projected to be a mid round pick, but ended up undrafted due to lack of athleticism. I think Hodge would be a worthwhile investment for the Redskins due to our need of ILB depth. Right now, it seems likely that the Redskins will be releasing Zach Brown in the offseason, possibly Mason Foster as well. Either of those moves will leave a gaping hole at the ILB position, with only young and unproven NFL players (Shaun Dion Hamilton, Josh Harvey-Clemons, maybe Reuben Foster) to fill it. In addition, many of these players have injury histories. Acquiring more ILB depth (and possibly starters) in the upcoming draft will be important. I haven’t watched enough college film to rank all the top prospects for the upcoming draft, but a 4th round pick feels right for Hodge. We don’t have a 4th round pick right now, but if he tests reasonably well at the Combine, our 3rd round Comp pick might be well spent on him. Otherwise, he’d be a bargain in the 5th round. I compared him to Mason Foster earlier and a lot of people may want to pass based on that comparison, but Mason Foster has been a reasonably solid starter over much of his career (only really seeming to slow down this year). I don’t see ILB as our biggest need anymore; EDGE, LG, CB, QB, and Safety are all probably bigger needs, and it’s unlikely we get a super athletic ILB outside of the top rounds. As such, a player like Hodge who is hard working and well-rounded would be a quality add in the later rounds.

The players are getting some down time, spending some time at home with their families before training camp starts later this month.But one Raider in particular, top wide receiver Antonio Brown, has been posting videos of his grueling workouts on a regular basis. Last time was him working out in Ft. Lauderdale with Raider CB Trayvon Mullen, but that was just a short clip. This time around, Brown’s posted a full video of him working with fellow Miami native and current Seahawks backup Geno Smith Womens Derek Carr Jersey , and Brown is fully mic’d up in this one.I don’t know if Antonio Brown sleeps. I don’t know if he eats. I don’t know if he ever sees his children. What I do know is that he is a maniacal worker, and he makes Geno look like a slug. If Geno had Antonio Brown’s work ethic and workout habits, he’d have been Patrick Mahomes. Another thing I noticed was Brown’s pants. They are silver with black stripes on the sides. Later on in the video as he removes his shoes, you can see that he is actually wearing his Raider uniform pants. Who does that?Brown’s explosiveness and easy, quick change of direction are on display here with the cone drills he does and his cerebral feel for the game is heard in the way he talks about playing the position. Soon, Brown’s short time at home in Miami will be over and he’ll be back in California to participate in Raiders training camp, which we can all get a look at via Hard Knocks. The repatched secondary did it’s best “No Fly Zone” impression with Joe Woods mixing and matching coverages enough to keep Patrick Mahomes off balance while Musgrave kept Keenum under control enough for the rookie running backs to take over the game.Then the wheels came off the wagon.
