He has 10 carries inside the 10-yard line over the past two games after eight in the previous seven games. He also had three carries inside the 10 after four in the previous seven weeks. That doesn’t even count receiving, where he has a touchdown inside the red zone Lewis has been on the field for 84 percent and 75 percent of Tennessee’s offensive snaps over the past two weeks. There should continue to be reliable volume there in a close game in Indianapolis.Sit: T.J. Yeldon, Jacksonville JaguarsLeonard Fournette came back from injury last week and was immediately put back in the Leonard Fournette role. It is a unit that played extremely well three weeks ago, holding the league’s best offense to only 28 points, but also a unit that struggled two weeks ago against the Ravens’ running attack. As they head to Baltimore this weekend seeking revenge, let’s take a look at how they got here.The 2018 season started out promising for the Chargers’ defense. During free agency, they were able to extend Casey Hayward’s contract.This ensured that the Chargers would have the self-proclaimed best corner in the league roaming their backfield without any looming contract negotiations. With Jason Verrett scheduled to return from injury and Trevor Williams expected to follow up on a stellar 2017 campaign, the Chargers looked deadly at cornerback.The Chargers received their first bit of bad news two weeks later when it was announced that Corey Liuget had tested positive for illegal substance use. The Chargers would have to spend the first 4 weeks of the season without one of their starting interior lineman, a position that was a concern for them as they had struggled to defend against the run in 2017.The draft brought a windfall of top prospects for the defense.The Chargers used their first 4 selections to bolster the defensive side of the ball. Their first pick was a dream come true as Derwin James fell to number 17.The Chargers wasted no time in making the selection, and Derwin has wasted no time in sending a message to the NFL that it was wrong to overlook him.Uchenna Nwosu was taken with the second selection and was expected to make the switch from defensive end to OTTO linebacker in Bradley’s 4-3 scheme.The Chargers’ next selection was Justin Jones: a defensive tackle that could help bolster the Chargers’ weak defensive interior line.With the fourth selection came Kyzir White, a safety that was expected to transition to linebacker. With James set to replace Boston and White and Nwosu set to shore up a weak linebacker unit, the Chargers’ defense looked poised to dominate in 2018.It was not long before the injury bug visited the Chargers, and Verrett was lost for the season.The next victim was Joey Bosa.It was first diagnosed as a minor foot injury, and Bosa was expected to be ready for the first regular season game.However, the injury lingered.After more evaluation, it was evident that Bosa was going to be out much longer.At the beginning of the season, it became clear that the Chargers’ defensive outlook was not as cheery as it was on draft night. This move, while allowing James to make a bigger impact, has left the Chargers vulnerable on the backside as Addae has struggled to make key stops at the free safety position.Kyzir White was lost to a knee injury in the 3rd game of the season.That was a big blow for the Chargers, as White was playing lights out at linebacker.It was, however, one of the first dominoes to fall that would lead to a great discovery for the Chargers.Week Six found Jatavis Brown on the injury list and unable to play on Sunday.With White gone, this left the Chargers extremely thin at linebacker.Then came one of Bradley’s best moves of the season: He moved safety Adrian Phillips into that spot.Phillips stepped up to the challenge and has been amazing in that position, earning himself an invitation to the pro bowl.As Bosa’s injury dragged on, the Chargers began rotating players along the defensive line trying to find something that worked. No single player stood out, so the Chargers continued to rotate players in and out of the defensive line. This helped keep this unit fresh and developed multiple linemen. The Chargers played a 4-2 defense the entire game with Phillips in the linebacker role. I’m not even sure this has a name. It’s a dime package in a nickel setup. Call it whatever you want, but I call it genius. It’s a coach finding a way to get his best playmakers on the field. Even though this is not the defense we thought we would see on draft day, Bradley has done a great job in developing talent and getting his playmakers on the field. The beauty of this defense is that it is almost custom-tailored to defend against a pass-happy league including teams like the Chiefs, Patriots, Rams, and Saints.The downside in giving up the extra linebacker and size at the position, is the vulnerability to a power running game, like the Ravens.This week will be a test for this evolving defense, but if they pass this test, they should be set up for a deep playoff run. In the 2018 NFL Draft, The Chargers spent four of their seven draft picks on defensive players. Continuing to build upon that defense should still be the team’s top priority during the offseason. But there are needs along the offensive side of the ball that The Chargers will need to address albeit free agency or the draft. One position that has remained in flux over the last couple of years for Los Angeles has been its offensive line. However, the transition did not go as smooth as hoped as St. Louis’s play was inconsistent throughout the year and at times looked badly out of position.Despite a down year after making his transition, St. Louis has displayed plenty of qualities that will transition to the NFL. Compiling 33 starts over the past three seasons, the 21-year-old offensive tackle has proven to be an athletic and versatile blocker. St. Louis possesses a solid base frame showing good balance and strength. He does an exceptional job getting downfield to the second level in the running game. For a player of St. Louis’ size, he is surprisingly agile. He shows a good first step and quick footwork that helps maintain protection on the edge.St. Louis will need to make adjustments to his technique at the next level. His hand placement can use some additional work as he sometimes goes too wide on defenders and can get beat with a bull-rush. St. Louis will also need to improve the angles he takes off the snap to prevent himself from being out of position against pass rushers.St. Louis is one of the few big name tackles that will be coming out of the ACC, so teams will definitely have an eye on him over the next couple of months. He will have plenty of opportunities to elevate his draft stock at the East/West Shrine game and the NFL combine. Despite his versatility at both tackle positions, St. Louis is best suited as a right tackle in the NFL and is currently projected as a second or third-day prospect.For the Chargers, offensive tackle Joe Barksdale has not lived up to expectations over the past few years and seems to have faded into a reserve role on the roster. This season Barksdale has only played on 21 percent of the offensive snaps as former 7th round pick Sam Tevi has seen more time as a starter. Los Angeles can avoid a $6.3 Million hit against the cap if they release Barksdale before next season.If the Chargers choose to address their depth at offensive line through the draft, the team could look at St. Louis as a developmental player that could blossom into a future starter.

Dirk Koetter will bring an offense that’s heavy on the gunslinging to Atlanta, giving Ryan the opportunity to throw the ball a lot to one of his most talented group of receiving options ever. Couple that with a concerted effort to re-build the offensive line and give him more time and you have a recipe for another tremendous year.Is he likely to best everything he did in his MVP season? No. Is it within the realm of possibility? Yes, I think so. <hr class="p-entry-hr" id="RNrvEA">Receiving Record1,871 receiving yards, Julio Jones, 2015Realistically, Julio is not touching the receiving touchdowns record held by Andre Rison, who reeled in 15 in one season back in 1993. It’s also unlikely he’ll top his absurd 136 catches in 2015, given that the team is less hyper-reliant on him as the top target and he’s never come within 20 receptions of that in any other season.The yardage record is certainly within reach, however, given Julio’s insane per game and per catch production. With Calvin Ridley, Mohamed Sanu, Austin Hooper, and Devonta Freeman in the fold and healthy this year Womens Takkarist McKinley Jersey , defenses are either going to have to prioritize Julio and get burned elsewhere or ease off him a bit, which could open him up to a huge year. Just from a talent perspective alone, you have to at least acknowledge the possibility that Julio can do this, and perhaps even make a run at Calvin Johnson’s all-time NFL mark. <hr class="p-entry-hr" id="9x7h2s">Scoring Record17 total touchdowns, Michael Turner (2008) If this were just rushing touchdowns, Devonta Freeman wouldn’t really be in the discussion here. But as it’s combined touchdowns and as it’s going to a pretty productive year for the offense, at least on paper, there’s a chance Freeman could equal or exceed this.Freeman has already come close twice, putting up 14 touchdowns in 2015 and 13 in 2016. His pass catching acumen—and Dirk Koetter’s strong inclination to exploit those—means he’d likely only need to get 10 or so touchdowns on the ground to make a real run at the mark. It will depend on Freeman’s health, of course, but opportunity-wise this year might represent his best shot of breaking the franchise mark. <hr class="p-entry-hr" id="uGAXWB">Interceptions 10 picks, Scott Case, 1988The only reason this is included here is because of Damontae Kazee’s performance a year ago. Kazee, of course, tied for the league lead with seven interceptions in a little less than a full season as the starting free safety. In this year’s role as the team’s full-time nickel cornerback Takkarist McKinley Jersey White , he’ll have his opportunities to build on that total and seriously challenge Case, whose mark hasn’t been touched in over 30 years. It’s a longshot, but Kazee has the talent and the opportunity to get there. Falcons coach Dan Quinn cleared out all his coordinators this offseason, and will call his own defense.But he added some experience to his staff Monday.The team announced the addition of former Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton as a senior assistant. According to the team’s release, he will assist Quinn with “in-game strategy, clock management, time-out usage and replay review.”The Falcons were going to use former assistant offensive line coach (and Rutgers head coach) Kyle Flood in that role before he left for Alabama. Sutton’s a former head coach at Army.“Calling the defense, spending the extra time to get that right, and making sure our style and identity come across in the right way are exciting challenges,” Quinn said. “Adding someone with Bob’s knowledge and experience to assist with clock and game-management strategies will help us be the best version of the Falcons that we can be in 2019.”Having someone to help with those areas is catching on, as more coaches realize the game is moving at a pace which makes it hard for one guy to process all the information in real time.Sutton was the Chiefs coordinator for six years, but was offered up after this season, and replaced with Steve Spagnuolo.

Now he isn’t.Legends head coach Kevin Coyle confirmed to WSB in Atlanta today that Vick will not be the offensive coordinator, although he added that he’s still hoping Vick will serve on the staff in some capacity.“He’s had a number of commitments that he’s been fulfilling with FOX in the broadcasting end of things so he hasn’t been able to be with us full time as we’d like him to be Deion Jones Jersey 2019 ,” Coyle said. “We’re going to try to carve out exactly the role that he can take.”Vick said in April that he would serve as offensive coordinator under his old coach Brad Childress.
